railsでcssを適用させたいのですがうまくいきません。

やったこと
・headからindex.scss直接ファイルを指定した
・Rails.application.config.assets.precompile += %w( application.css ）による直接指定
・bundle exec rails assets:precompile RAILS_ENV=production による手動プリコンパイル

BootstrapのCSSには、以下のような定義があります。
CSS
1/* 読みやすくするために改行を入れています */ 2body{ 3 /* 中略 */ 4 background-color:#fff 5}
つまり、自分で書いたbackground-color: red;は、Bootstrapによる定義で上書きされてしまいます。
自分で作成したCSSは、Bootstrapより後で読み込むようにしましょう。
