AWSのApacheのDocumentRootが見つからない

環境：AWS EC2 amazonlinux2

composer install

を終えてApacheにプロジェクトのパスを通す作業を行おうとしています。

sudo vi /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

を入力して変更するとされるDocumentRoot

（
DocumentRoot "/var/www/<プロジェクトディレクトリ>/public"

）

を探しているのですが見つかりません。

表示されるものは以下の通りです。

やったこと

・http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/directives.htmlをチェックしましたが膨大過ぎて何を読めばいいか分かりませんでした。
・そもそもDocumentRootの変更が反映されないなどのエラーが多くて検索にヒットしませんでした（力不足です、すみません）

設定ファイルもコードの一種なので、こちらのソースコードの貼り方を参考にしてもらえると助かります。 https://teratail.com/help/question-tips#questionTips3-5-1 で、EC2 の document root のデフォルトは /var/www/html のようですね。それ以外の場所にしたいなら自分で作れば良いのでは。

DocumentRoot "/var/www/hoge-laravel/public" これを上に挙げたhttpd.confの中に自分で追記するということですか？その場合はどこに書いたらいいのでしょうか？質問の方は訂正させていただきました。すみません。

もしかして httpd.conf には続きがあるのでは？というか、vi の使い方は分かりますか？

viの使い方を調べて、ファイル全体を確認してみてください。それはconfのごく一部でしかありません。コピペしたいときはcatを使って全部表示するといいです（大きなファイルをうっかり開かないよう）特にconfに手を加えていないのならDocumentRootの設定は変わっていませんので自分で適切に編集してください。
