Rails：２度目から削除機能が動かない

Question

前提・実現したいこと

プログラミング初学者です。
Ruby on Railsでブックマーク管理アプリを作成しています。
今回、ブックマーク一覧画面からチェックボックスで選択したブックマーク（１個〜複数個）をまとめて削除できる機能を実装しました。

発生している問題・エラーメッセージ

１度目は問題なく動くのですが、２回目以降はサブミットを押しても全く動きませんでした。
パターンを把握しましたが
・１度目はしっかり削除される
・２回目は動かない

・別のアクションを行った後も動かない
・リロードをすれば動く

エラーも出ずに、Railsサーバーの動きを見ても動いていない（リクエストがされていない?）状態です。
お力添えを頂ければ幸いです。

試したこと

turbolinksを切ったりもしましたが、挙動は変化がありませんでした。
原因特定が出来ず調べるにも困難しています。

なかなか悩ましいです
以下のところのlogを見たいです。
・１度目はしっかり削除される
・２回目は動かない

また「・別のアクションを行った後も動かない」とありますが、具体的にはどういうアクションを試したのでしょうか

ログを追加させていただきました。
情報が足らなければお手数おかけしますが再度、申し付けいただけますと幸いです
改めて現象として
１度目はログがターミナル上に出力されるのですが、２回目は出力されない状態です。

別のアクションについては、createアクションで新規ブックマークを登録しました。
登録後、index.html.erbへ画面遷移させています。ここで削除を試みても２回目と全く同じくログが出力されずに動きませんでした。

動かない場合にブラウザの開発者ツールでエラーは表示されていますか？

削除はRailsに任せてしまっています。
ですのでRailsがJSを通してはいると思います。
turbolinksについては、試しにapplication.jsから消して動作確認をしたところ、画面遷移自体が出来なくなってしまいました。
質問前に部分的にturbolinksを切ったつもりでしたがうまく行ってなかった様です。

デベロッパーツール上のコンソールにもエラーは表示されていませんでした。

※新たな発見としてapplication.jsにのrails-ujsを消すと２回目も通常通りリクエストされて正しい動作をします。
しかし、削除する前の確認ダイアログが出現しなくなります。
rails-ujsは消してしまっても良いものなのでしょうか？
それとも他に何か対策はありますでしょうか？

ご助言、深く感謝いたします。

結論から述べます。
form_withのオブションにlocal: trueを足した。

application.jsの

これを消す事も考えたが、他の機能に修正を与えなくてはいけないため活かしたかった。
他にturbo-linksを部分的に無効にするも上手くいかなかったため、
XML通信をオフにするlocal: trueを追加することによって目的の挙動が出来た。
