javafxで画像を重ねて配置するには？

タイトルのとおりです。
２つの画像を重ねてgui上に表示させたいのですがやり方がわかりません教えてくださいお願いします！

画像を重ねた結果どのような表示になることを期待していますか？
JavaFXで画像を表示させる部品として最初に思い浮かぶのがImageViewですが、StackPane上などに2つのImageViewを配置して表示すると（2つのImageViewが同じ場所に重ねて配置される）、下のImageViewが隠れ、上のImageViewだけ表示されます。
