リストから取得した？（取得したかどうか分からないので「？」）データが表示されない。

Question

社員管理システムを作成しています。データベースから取得してきたデータをweb上に表示したいのですが、「部署名」という項目のデータが表示されない原因が分かりません。
ちなみにデータベース上で「社員ID」「社員名」「性別」「住所」「生年月日」「権限」はemployeeテーブル、「部署ID」「部署名」はdepartmentテーブルにあり、「部署ID」で内部結合しています。

empName と emp_nameを混同しているとかではなく？
DBからデータがとれていないんですか？

ほかのデータは取得され、jspで表示されるのでそのようなことはないと思います。
DBからデータがとれているが、その先で何らかの原因で表示されないのだと予想しています。

Dept dept = new Dept();

dept.setDeptName(rs.getString("dept_name"));
empList.add(emp);

これではDeptをnewしてsetDeptName()しただけです。外に出る情報のどこにものってません。
setDeptName()したdeptをemp.deptにsetしたうえで、empList.add(emp);する必要があります。

ただ、setDept(dept)というセッターの中身が理解できていません、deptを取得するとはどういうことなのでしょう。
