GAEのガイド「Firebaseを追加する」の設定がわかりません

上記URLの指示通りにindex.htmlを編集してみたのですがうまく動作しませんでした。
現在動作としては、下記の部分の警告文が出るのみです。

（このファイルのみGithubにコードの完成形の手本がないため困っております）
