springboot pom.xmlエラー

前提・実現したいこと

環境

Windows10
eclipse Version: 2019-09 R (4.13.0)

sts4をインストールしeclipse でHello Worldの実行を試そうと
新規→Springスタータプロジェクト→Spring Webのライブラリを追加して新規プロジェクトを立ち上げると
必ず、pom.xmlがエラーになります。

様々なサイトを見て試行しましたが解決できず、質問させていただいております。
初心者で拙い内容となっておりますが、お力添え、何卒よろしくお願いいたします。

発生している問題・エラーメッセージ

エラーメッセージ1

試したこと

下記バージョンを段階的に変更
<version>2.1.10.RELEASE</version>　
※当初2.2.1で設定するとエラーになったため2．1.10以下にするとエラーが無くなりました。
<maven-jar-plugin.version>3.1.1</maven-jar-plugin.version>
