axesの中身について

Question

axesの中身がどうなっているのかわかりません。
print(axes)としても

<matplotlib.axes._subplots.AxesSubplot object at 0x1c19e3ed50>

と出てきて、これが何を意味するのかわかりません。
また、axx, axの中身もaxesと同じなのでしょうか？

axesの中身がどうなっているのかわかりません。

Axes は matplotlib で1つのグラフを意味します。

fig, axes = plt.subplots(3, 4, figsize=(20, 8))

で1つの図を3行4列に分割しているので、axes は各要素が Axes オブジェクトである (3, 4) の2次元配列になります。

import matplotlib.pyplot as plt

fig, axes = plt.subplots(3, 4, figsize=(8, 8))

for i, row in enumerate(axes):
    for j, ax in enumerate(row):
        ax.text(0.5, 0.5, f"axes[{i}, {j}]", ha="center", fontsize=20)

figだけ入力しても枠組みが表示されるのに、axesだけを入力すると、<matplotlib.axes._subplots.AxesSubplot object at 0x1c17f9fb90>が返ってくるのはなぜですか。
axesがグラフをいうことがいまいち理解できません、、、

図を追記しました。
Figure の中にいくつもの Axes があるイメージです。
例えば、plt.subplots(2, 2) とすると、図を縦横それぞれ2分割して図の中に4つのグラフが作られます。
