aws cliでcpはうまくいくのにsyncでエラーになる原因がわからない

Question

aws s3 cpはうまくいくのにsyncでGlacierでエラーになる原因がわかりません。
すでにGlacierの復元はしたためcpはうまくいっているからです。

下記コードのdata以下のファイルをローカルにダウンロードしたいです。

復元したはずのものなのにGlacierでエラーになる原因はなんなのでしょうか？
どうか力を貸してください。

$aws s3 cp s3://バケット名/log/data/sample.tar.gz ./
成功

$aws s3 sync s3://バケット名/log/data ./
warning: Skipping file s3://バケット名/log/data/sample.tar.gz. 
Object is of storage class GLACIER. Unable to perform download operations on GLACIER objects. 
You must restore the object to be able to perform the operation.

--force-glacier-transferオプションを付けるとできませんか？
試す環境がないのでご確認お願いします。

aws s3 sync --force-glacier-transfer s3://バケット名/log/data ./
